Pacorini’s Belgian branch is located in the Port of Antwerp and employs 55 people.


About the role:

Next to their well-known services in coffee and cacao, Pacorini Belgium has made the strategical decision to diversify their activities and to grow their activities in General Cargo. The necessary investments in storage and handling capabilities will be done  in order to service their General Cargo-customers even better. The recruitment of an experienced Sales & Business Development Manager is a logical step to support their ambition. 


Your responsibilities:

As a Sales & Business Development Manager, your primary responsibility is to expand the General Cargo-business by establishing and nurturing enduring customer relationships:

  • Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities within General Cargo, Petfood and other soft commodities through research, networking and active prospection;
  • Collaborate with the operations and management team to ensure that service offerings meet the evolving needs of clients;
  • Develop and implement strategic business plans to achieve revenue targets and business goals;
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify emerging opportunities and challenges;
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and seminars to represent the company and network with potential clients and partners;
  • Prepare and present reports on business development activities, revenue forecasts, and market analysis to the senior management team.


Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field or similar working level through experience;
  • Proven experience (minimum 7 years) in business development, sales, or a similar role within the logistics, freight forwarding, or general cargo industry;
  • Strong understanding of the general cargo market and supply chain logistics;
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to develop strong client relationships and close sales;
  • Strategic thinker with a proven track record of achieving business growth objectives;
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills;
  • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities;
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills;
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
